CHEFitness discovered her passion for cooking in 2002, whilst she was completing her associate degree in Hospitality Management at La Consolacion College in Manila and actively participating in a dance troupe. She has been an active fitness enthusiast for over 10 years. Her love of cooking in large part derives from her kapampangan father, himself a great cook.
In 2006 she decided to further her passion for education in culinary arts by completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management at the De la Salle College of St Benilde, majoring in culinary. Her 6 month internship program prior to graduation was at Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, In Academic Association with Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne Switzerland in Dubai, UAE, where she was attached for work experience to the 7 Star Burj Al Arab Hotel.
On returning to Manila in early 2010 she was employed in Tivoli, the flagship restaurant of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Makati, but she was invited to return to the Burj Al Arab Hotel in October 2010 for full time employment in their renowned Al Mahara fine dining seafood restaurant, and Al Iwan Arabic restaurant, before deciding to return to Manila in March 2013.
She then decided to combine her two passions, for being a high quality chef and for physical fitness. She studied as a personal trainer under the American Council on Exercise at the FIT Manila and pursued a second career in personal coaching together with culinary advice to those interested in improving their healthy lifestyle.
Her cuisines are a mixture of European, Asian and Arabic and she offers Clean Eating Five Day Full Menus for people wanting to lose and maintain a healthy weight.
